Populate Single and Multiple Select Choices in a Form

When using the Form Builder in the UtiliSync Admin app, once you have added a field to a form, you can customize the settings for that field in the panel on the right side of the screen. In this article, you will learn how to populate the Choices that will be available in a Single Select or Multiple Select field.


Instructions

  1. After creating the Label for your field, the next step is to add the Choices. You can add as many Choices as you need to by first clicking on the pencil icon after Single (or Multi) Select #1 and filling in the Edit Choice box that appears in the center of your screen.

  1. There are two fields in the Edit Choice box: Value and Label. The Value will be the visible Choice to anyone filling out your form. The Label is optional, although both fields are often populated identically.
  2. Once your first choice is complete, click on Save Choice (or press Return).
  3. You can create the next choice by clicking on the text ADD CHOICE.
  4. Then enter your next choice in the Add Choice box.
  5. Remember to click on Save Choice (or press Return).
  6. Repeat steps 4-6 to create all of your desired Choices.
  7. A list of your Choices will grow in the field settings box on the right side of your screen. 
  8. You can Edit any choice by clicking on the pencil icon. 
  9. You can Delete any choice by clicking on the trash icon.
  10. You can change the order of your Choices by dragging them using the double row of dots on the left side of each Choice.

  1. Remember to click on the Update Item button when you have finished customizing the settings for this field.

Success! You can now populate Single and Multiple Select choices in a form.
