Troubleshooting Colorado 811 455 Errors

UtiliSync is configured to send a positive response code (PRC) to Colorado 811 every time a ticket is cleared. Sometimes, Colorado 811 rejects the PRC and returns what is known as a 455 error. That means the ticket needs to be updated and submitted again. Colorado 811 has provided this document to show special requirements for all of the PRC’s available.

The purpose of this article is to help you quickly identify the problem and solution for each Colorado 811 455 error message.

 

The most common 455 errors are listed below.

455 Invalid response code

This error is present when the PRC that was selected is not valid for some reason. We often see this code when PRC 888 - Ticket Has Been Cancelled is selected, but the ticket is not actually canceled. To fix this error, you will need to select a different PRC and submit the form again.

455 Longer comments must be provided

This error is present when a comment is required for the PRC selected. See this document to see which PRC’s require comments. To fix this error, add a comment and submit the form again.

455 Invalid response code for ticket category

This error is present when the PRC that was selected is not valid for the ticket category. Often, PRC 018 - Installation Records, Maps or Other Documents Have been Provided was selected. PRC 018 is only allowed for SUE and Engineering tickets. To fix this error, you will need to select a different PRC and submit the form again.
